Transport or transportation is the movement of people and goods from one location to another. Modes of transport include air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline, and space. The field can be divided into infrastructure, vehicles, and operations.

Transport infrastructure consists of the fixed installations necessary for transport, and may be roads, railways, airways, waterways, canals and pipelines, and terminals such as airports, railway stations, bus stations, warehouses, trucking terminals, refueling depots (including fueling docks and fuel stations), and seaports. Terminals may be used both for interchange of passengers and cargo and for maintenance.

Vehicles traveling on these networks may include automobiles, bicycles, buses, trains, trucks, people, helicopters, and aircraft. Operations deal with the way the vehicles are operated, and the procedures set for this purpose including financing, legalities and policies. In the transport industry, operations and ownership of infrastructure can be either public or private, depending on the country and mode.

Passenger transport may be public, where operators provide scheduled services, or private. Freight transport has become focused on containerization, although bulk transport is used for large volumes of durable items. Transport plays an important part in economic growth and globalization, but most types cause air pollution and use large amounts of land. While it is heavily subsidized by governments, good planning of transport is essential to make traffic flow, and restrain urban sprawl.

What transportation can I take from Incheon Airport to Camp Casey?
Q. I am civilian visiting my fiance that is stationed in Camp Casey. I am staying at Casey Lodge, I would like to know the quickest and safest way/transportation to get to Camp Case? How much would it cost? And what transportation is cost efficient?

A. That depends on what time of day that you arrive. If you arrive during the day and not too late in the evening, you may be able to take the USO bus to Yongsan and then switch to the Camp Casey bus there. The USO bus is free and the Myungjin Bus to Casey is about $4.00. This is the cheapest, but will take you about 2 hours...depending on traffic...to get to Camp Casey. Problem is, I think you need to produce a military ID or dependent ID to use those buses. However, is is the schedule for them: Probably the best way in your case is to take a limousine bus from the airport to Uijeongbu (airport bus stops 2A & 8B, runs once/hour, 12,000 won)- the last stop is Uijeongbu Terminal. From there, take a bus to Dongducheon (maybe another 2,00 [cont.]

What form of transportation did you use?
Q. How did you get to the test today? (What form of transportation did you use?) What type of transportation do you usually (or, most often) use? For you, what are the benefits (advantages) of using that form of transportation? What do you think of the transport conditions in your hometown? Do you think transportation costs (gasoline, subway, bus & taxi fares, etc) are expensive in your hometown? In China, is transportation in the big cities the same as transportation in small towns and villages?

A. I used my truck. I often us my truck. I get from point A to point Z and all the points in between. Hometown is too congested during the day. Fuel prices are about 15 cents higher than anywhere else. More mass transit in bigger cities.
